About Us

This new home is called the New Englander, and is a prototype for a group doing Traditional Neighborhood Design (TND). In addition to celebrating the rural New England aesthetic, it follows another tradition common to modest yankee homes, that every room be designed to be used every day. This principle is also embraced by the Not So Big House movement (NSBH) begun by architect Sarah Suzanka.

This builder has rights to several Art Form Architecture designs, and is also working on a small TND development in Berwick, Maine. Called Walnut Grove, it's nestled into the woods, interspersed with conservation land. The design calls to retain as many trees as possible and incorporate conservation principles.

For drive-by's of this house - Madbury, NH - Hayes Road, off Lee Oak Rd/Newtown Plains Rd.
